The PUDL Health/Wellness Guide
The Purdue Drumline Leadership Team is proud to announce the release of its first ever Health/Wellness Guide. This guide contains advice about nutrition, fitness, mental health, and more. It was specially crafted for those trying out for (and going through) our program here at Purdue. Feel free to download it via the link on the right and peruse it at your own leisure.
A special thanks to Cymbal Segment Leader Zach Momeyer, a Senior studying Dietetics: Nutrition, Fitness, & Health, for spearheading this project. Feel free to reach out to him, Josh Siegel (the Overall Section Leader and Drum Crew Captain), or Lorin Nugent (the Assistant Segment Leader for Tenors) for help or more information on these topics!
As an added bonus, we have hand-selected the video below as one of our main stretching resources for this year. It is the inspiration behind many of the stretches/warm-ups that we will use in our pre-rehearsal/pre-game day routine.
Stretching is a major part of personal growth and health during any physical activity, including drumming. We highly recommend looking at this video in advance of the Fall season and even implementing it into your own life outside of rehearsal!
