2018-2019 Cadence Released!

This season's cadence, "Heat Wave," has been released! It be the audition piece for the upcoming season, and will be in the cadence sequence.

Written by our student leaders, this cadence will be added to our lineup for the upcoming season. It will also be the main audition piece for those trying out for the 2018 - 2019 Purdue Drumline. We will also be focusing on playing and learning this piece during Tech Day.

We suggest learning this piece today! For those attending Tech Day, please be familiar with the new cadence upon arrival. Please remember, this piece must be memorized for band camp.

A note on class scheduling

As you schedule classes, please sign up for BAND 110, and make an effort to avoid the 3:30 - 5:30 conflicts. We can get so much more done at rehearsals when everyone is present. Conflicts will have to be approved through Prof. Jones in advance. We will avoid approving anything more than a two-hour conflict (three for upperclassmen with one-time conflicts). We realize the problems with the schedule and one-time class offerings, but do your best to avoid those conflicts that are avoidable. With a concerted effort and careful schedule planning, we can eliminate many of the conflicts that now exist.
